Overview

The purpose of this working prototype is to investigate the market potential of this new and unique product.

The product has been has been designed and developed in the U.K over a number of years to try and address

a  number of challenges and issues members of the development team have experienced in daily life with the options currently available to improve reading vision.

The iMonocle Product

​

• iMonocles are currently only currently available in one size and one colour.

​

• iMonocles are current only availible in one reader power =  +2.00 D - Please ensure this fits your reader requirement

​

• iMonocle are designed for short term use do not use for extended periods of time  use your reading spectacles for if you are reading for long periods

​

• The two components of the iMonocle are easily separated and rejoined to allow for cleaning with regular soap and water.

​

• To conduct product testing we have initially sized the iMonocle based on an individuals height as a means to try to estimate the size of their eye orbit according to average human proportions

​

• Therefore based on the above estimation, the product is sized for individuals roughly between 167cm & 183 cm (5ˊ6˝ & 6ˊ0˝) in height

​

• This sizing should allow these individuals to retain the iMonocle in their eye orbit using only facial muscles allowing a hands free option

​

• If your height is less than 167cm (5' 6˝) , the iMonocle may still be the correct size as the soft silicone housing will help grip a smaller eye orbit.

​

• Alternatively if an individuals height is more than 183 cm (6' 0˝ ) - retaining the iMonocle in the eye orbit using only the facial muscles may or may not be less successful

​

• We hope therefore this allows the maximum number of individuals to test our iMonocle and provide feedback to improve the product.

​

• But of course everyone can still use an iMonocle by just holding it to the eye orbit or prescription spectacles by the integrated flexible tab to take a quick glance at what you need to see

​

• iMonocles are resistant damage in normal use and modifications may be made to further products dependant on feedback from the test group
